As the saying goes, “A bad day of fishing is better than a good day – well, anywhere if you’re fishing addicts like Clay and Stephanie Cowart. And as they showed us on one of their recent adventures, when you throw a Sea-Doo FishPro into the mix, there are simply no bad days on the water.
Clay and Stephanie Cowart are passionate about spending time together on the water. The two met at a sandbar in the Florida Keys and have basically been inseparable ever since. Better yet, they’ve made it their life’s mission to inspire others to get out on the water and in enjoy it in every way possible through their YouTube channel: Life by the Bow.
From the solitude of camping on the water, to deep sea fishing excursions and more, the couple spends a good portion of their lives on boats. It’s become such commonplace for them that they consider a boat – any boat for that matter – almost a second home. So, Sea-Doo decided to give them a new challenge: Ditch the boat and try living life on the Sea-Doo FishPro.
The ear-to-ear smiles were all the confirmation needed. With the FishPros on the trailer and fishing gear loaded up, the Cowarts headed out patch reef fishing just off the Florida Keys in search of Mutton Snapper and Grouper. After an early first stop for a few throws with the cast net, their FishPro live well was full of bait.
Navigating 2- to 3-foot chop in less-than-ideal conditions was the perfect test for the FishPro, mentioned Clay. They anchored down and landed enough snapper and grouper for dinner. Then it was time to head for shore.
“Once you get done fishing, they’re still Sea-Doos,” Clay said with a smile as the tunes cranked from the speakers and the race to the marina was on. “You don’t even have to catch fish to make it a good day when you’re on a Sea-Doo!”
