Front Overload - Risk of Capsizing - Updated Recall (Bulletin 2026-1)

Front Overload - Risk of Capsizing - Updated Recall (Bulletin 2026-1)

Dear Sea-Doo Switch Owner,

This notice is sent to you in accordance with applicable laws. BRP is conducting a safety recall.

Our records show that you own a potentially affected watercraft.

What is the potential problem?

●       Improper distribution of passengers and cargo weight could overload the front of the watercraft and cause instability, nosediving and possibly lead to capsizing. The condition worsens if water evacuation from the hull is not optimal. This could cause serious injuries or even death.

●       This recall replaces Bulletin 2025-4 and Bulletin 2025-10, and includes additional watercrafts.

●       Your watercraft falls into one of the following two categories:

        ○       It was not previously repaired

        ○       It was already repaired by the dealer or by the factory

In ALL situations, this recall must be performed regardless of previous safety recalls completion.

Why do some watercrafts need to be repaired again?

Unfortunately, one component of the previous remedy may not perform to our expectations for durability. The sealant applied on the hull sections (by dealer or from factory) needs to be replaced by three gaskets.

For watercrafts already equipped with gaskets, an inspection is required to ensure that all three gaskets are present.

Which models are involved?
MY22 to MY26 Sea-Doo Switch

What will BRP do?
●        BRP will perform this recall at no charge to you (parts and labor).

●       The procedure will take approximately a maximum of 2.5 hours and consist of the following.

  1. HULL
All watercrafts need three gaskets in specific sections of the hull. If your watercraft presently has sealant in those sections, it will be removed prior to the installation of the gaskets. For watercrafts already equipped with gaskets, an inspection is required to ensure that all three gaskets are present.

  2. WARNING LABELS AND OPERATOR’S GUIDE ADDENDUM
All watercrafts need to have an on-product warning label at two specific locations and an Operator’s Guide addendum which is also available here www.operatorsguides.brp.com/F/996.

  3. SAFETY VIDEO
BRP also issued a revised safety video in February 2025. Watch it at: https://sea-doo.com/safety or use the following QR code:

BEFORE AND AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR:

The required warning label that will be added (or that is already affixed) to your watercraft in two locations is the following:

Read a PDF version of the Operator’s Guide addendum at www.operatorsguides.brp.com/F/996. It will be provided to you as well upon your visit to the dealer, if not already with your Operator’s Guide in your watercraft.

If you choose to ride before the recall repair:
Because BRP needs to inspect or repair the hull, be aware that your watercraft may be more sensitive to front overload as water evacuation from the hull will not be optimal under specific conditions.
