Re: Throttle / Shifter Control Incorrectly Manufactured
Dear Sea-Doo® Owner,
This notice is being sent to you in cooperation with the U.S. Coast Guard and Transport Canada and is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Boat Safety Act and other applicable laws. Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. and BRP US Inc. (“BRP“) are conducting a voluntary safety recall of certain Sea-Doo Boats models. Our records indicate that you are the owner of a potentially affected boat.

150 Speedster 2011
180 Challenger 2011
What is the potential problem?
The throttle/shifter control assembly may have been incorrectly manufactured and this may lead to
one or more of the following malfunctions:
- Engine could be started while throttle lever is activated.
- Shifter lever can be moved from forward to reverse (vice versa) position while throttle lever remains activated.
- Throttle lever could get stuck.
- Shifter lever could get stuck.
- A loss of throttle control or shift control may result in personal injury or death.
To confirm that your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is affected, contact your authorized Sea-Doo dealer or BRP at 1-888-272-9222 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Eastern time 7 days a week.
What should you do?
Immediately stop using your boat, contact an authorized BRP Sea-Doo dealer and make an appointment to have your boat repaired. We will replace the throttle/shifter control with an improved version. This work will be performed at no charge to you.
What to do if you feel this notice is an error?
This notice was mailed to you according to the most current information we have available. If you no longer own this boat or some information in this notice is incorrect, please contact BRP at your earliest convenience.
