These types of adventures typically require carrying more people and extra cargo. More power definitely helps when adding more weight on board. If you’re the type who simply enjoys a relaxing evening sunset cruise, the smaller engine size is more than enough to satisfy. Likewise, if you’re doing a lot of trailering lake hopping for a quick afternoon swim with the kids, the 100- or 170-HP will more than meet your needs.
